As your baby continues to heads towards becoming a toddler, the things they aren’t supposed to have, places they aren’t supposed to be, and things they aren’t supposed to be doing becomes more appealing to them. With baby cruising furniture and crawling at full speed, it can be exhausting running around after them and making sure they are safe – and not in anything they have no business in.

It’s very important to keep your baby safe in their home and that’s why childproofing is the first must-have on the list.

Baby Proofing, 43 Pcs Cabinet Locks Child Safety- 8 Magnetic Cabinet Locks+2 Keys, 16 Clear Corner Protectors, 10 Outlet Plugs, 6 Child Safety Locks, No Drill Required Baby Proof Set

A MUST around 6-9 months OR whenever baby starts crawling.

Baby PlayYard

North States 256″ Superyard Colorplay 8-Panel Play Yard: Safe play area anywhere – Folds with carrying strap for easy travel. Freestanding. 256″ length, 34.4 sq. ft. enclosure (26″ tall, Multicolor)
The playyards and gates can be a bit pricey, but it’s worth it for the extra piece of mind, knowing exactly where your baby is. My daughter Karsyn has one at both my home and at her grandparents house  (North States Gate above). It can also be placed multiple ways other than a circle. You have the option of a square or this how I have it for her:
Put your baby’s favorite toys in there and have baby play for as long as they want.

Suction Bowls & Plates

Silicone Bowl and Silicone Plate Easily Wipe Clean! Self Feeding Set Reduces Spills! Spend Less Time Cleaning After Meals with a Baby or Toddler! Set Includes 2 Colors (Turquoise/Lime Green)
These are a must-have now because all my daughter wants to do is throw her bowl over the high chair table 🙃. These bowls save me a lot of time from having to clean up puree stains.
The brand above is a bit pricey but there are other brands who offer these at a more reasonable price, such as Munchkin and Nuby (both give you more bowls at a way lower price).

High Chair

JOOVY Nook High Chair, Black
Even though a high chair is for eating, Karsyn will sit in there and watch a whole movie if I let her. It’s that comfortable to her and it’s a lifesaver for me. I even sit her in the kitchen with me while I cook and she snacks.

The high chair above is by Joovy, but the high chair I have is the Graco SimpleSwitch. It’s only $69.99 compared to the higher end, but beautiful ones like Joovy and 4moms.

Walker or Walking Toy

Although babies love to cruise furniture around this time, it’s excites them to be able to “walk” around. The one above is by Fisher Price (currently $19.49 on Amazon) and VTECH ($34.88 on Amazon) has a nice one as well.

Stacking Toys

These are developmental toys for babies between the ages of 6-9 months.  My daughter loves them. At the moment, she loves to bang them against everything, but she also loves to watch me stack them up and then she knocks them down again.

According to Mighty Moms, stacking toys are one of the best brain boosting toys for babies around this time. See their impressive list of brain boosting toys here.

Baby Einstein Dream Soother

This is actually one of the best toys/sound machine I bought for my baby. The soother simply clicks right onto the crib. It never gets old to her and she’s amazed by it everyday like its the first time all over again. It plays ocean wave sounds and many lullabies.

The dream soother gets her ready for bed and to sleep quicker and she sleeps longer. It’s definitely a must-have for anyone with a infant of any age and should be on everyones baby registry. (Target, $39.99)

Comment down below your must-haves! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see you in the next post!!!
